What we do
Oral solids, with a specialism in modified release.
Modified-release pellet technology is the technical centre of the group. It is a demanding discipline, and the reason our formulation capability extends beyond straightforward generic tablet manufacture.
Where the specialism sits.
A modified-release product is defined by its release profile, not by its ingredients. Getting a dissolution curve to land where the clinical objective requires — reproducibly, batch after batch, at commercial scale — is the whole discipline.
Modified-release pellets
Sustained-release and delayed-release pellet systems, including enteric and multi-phase release profiles, developed to a defined dissolution target rather than an approximate one.
Ready-to-fill pellets
Pellets supplied to other manufacturers for encapsulation or compression — a business line in its own right, and useful proof that the technology travels.
Directly compressible granules
Granulations engineered for direct compression, reducing process steps and improving content uniformity for suitable molecules.
Taste-masked granules
Taste masking for molecules where palatability governs adherence — particularly relevant in paediatric and geriatric presentations.

From molecule to validated process.
| Formulation development | Excipient selection, release-profile design and prototype development against a target product profile. |
|---|---|
| Process development | Definition and refinement of the manufacturing process, including critical process parameters and control strategy. |
| Analytical methods | Method development and validation to recognised pharmacopoeial standards, including dissolution method development for modified-release profiles. |
| Stability programmes | Stability studies under defined storage conditions, with reporting appropriate to the intended market. |
| Scale-up | Progression from laboratory through pilot to commercial batch scale, with process robustness demonstrated rather than assumed. |
| Technology transfer | Transfer to a receiving site, including documentation, training and support through validation batches. |
Where the portfolio concentrates.
The group’s formulation experience is weighted towards chronic disease and long-term therapy — the categories where modified release matters most and where continuity of supply is most consequential for a patient.
